Ingredients:

  • ½ cup Split yellow moong dal
  • 1 handful Chopped cucumber
  • 1 no. Carrot grated
  • 1 no. Green Chili, chopped
  • 1 no. Chopped cucumber
  • 1-2 no. Lime, juiced
  • Salt to taste
  • Chaat masala to taste

Method:

  1. Soak the Moong dal for 30-60 mins. Once it swells up, you can boil it in salted water for 5-7 mins or use as it is.
  2. Drain it completely, leave to cool.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the dal, carrots, cucumber, chilies and chopped coriander.
  4. Add salt, lime juice and toss well. You can also add Chaat masala
  5. Serve with an extra lime wedge

You can also add: Crushed peanuts, Toasted garlic, Chopped bell peppers, Chopped onion, Chilli powder, Grated coconut
